Today, the Supreme Court will begin hearing arguments in the Janus vs. AFSCME case which would determine if agency fees violate a person’s first amendment rights. The case can have major implications on the public sector unions across the country. We heard from representatives on both sides of the case. First, we heard from the Janus side of the case with Jacob Huebert, Director of Litigation at the Liberty Justice Center and an attorney for Mark Janus, and Dr. Daniel DiSalvo, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and associate professor of political science at the Colin Powell School at the City College of New York-CUNY.
