The fight over the so-called Death with Dignity bill continues.  Today we will meet Susan Rahn, a terminally ill advocate from Rochester and Gene Hughes a disability rights advocate at the Resource Center for Independent Living.  Both are advocates for aid in dying.  Clarkson University has completed an economic analysis of the Adirondack Park.  Communications Director for the Adirondack Council John Sheehan will have the details.  Nurses are again fighting for safe staffing levels.  Jill Furillo, Executive Director of the New York State Nurses Association and Ann Goldman of New York State United Teachers will explain how patients could be in jeopardy when staffing levels are low. According to the New York State Bar Association, overhauling New York’s criminal defense system for the poor should be a top priority for state lawmakers.  Executive Director Jonathan E. Gradess of the New York State Defenders Association will explain.
