Richard Gottfried (D – Manhattan), the Chair of the Assembly Health Committee, discussed his plan for a single payer health plan in New York and the possibility of a public option in the Democratic National platform. The Empire Center released a report saying that the Asm. Gottfried’s healthcare plan will cost taxpayers billions and open the door for additional corruption in Albany.
