The grades 3 – 8 ELA and math state test results were released late last week and showed slight improvements, even though the State Education Department is cautioning against comparing 2015 to 2016 because of the changes made to the test length and questions. This morning we spoke with State Education Commissioner MaryEllen Elia about the results. We had the latest on the education conflicts in East Ramapo with two guests: first, Andrew Mandel of Strong East Ramapo; then, East Ramapo CSD Board President Yehuda Weissmandl.
