East Ramapo parents are suing the State Education Department and the Board of Regents to demand immediate action on what they claim is financial mismanagement by the East Ramapo School Board. The first hearing took place yesterday after an original hearing was postponed when the school board intervened. We spoke with Education Law Center attorney Wendy Lecker, who is representing East Ramapo parents’, about how yesterday’s proceedings went. The country may have a cyber-security expert shortage and with so much of our lives and homeland security dependent on passing information over computers, the shortage could easily become a crisis.
