Today we return to the very end of August when the State Senate held its hearing on the Hoosick Falls water crisis. The day after the hearings we spoke with the chair of the Senate Health Committee Kemp Hannon, as well as with the Region 2 EPA Administrator Judith Enck about why residents of Hoosick Falls weren’t told their drinking water was contaminated until months after the government knew. Many of the concerns that Robert Freeman, executive director of the Committee on Open Government, shared with us back in August have since become even bigger headaches for the Cuomo administration. And we reported on a study commissioned calling for a specialized approach to value-based payments for children, given kids’ and teens’ unique needs.
