The annual SUNYCON symposium, this year titled “Degrees of Influence: The Forces Shaping the Future of Higher Education” convened October 27 and 28 at the Times Center in New York City. The 2-day summit featured a cadre of higher education experts and national figures including NPR’s Terry Gross; Muriel Howard, President, American Association of State Colleges and Universities; William “Brit” Kirwan, Chancellor Emeritus, University System of Maryland; Ben Casselman for FiveThirtyEight; and Rehema Ellis, Chief Education Correspondent, NBC News.
