First up, we wanted to revisit the Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage in all fifty states. Daniel Alter, an adjunct professor and fellow at New York University Law School, provided in-depth analysis of the ruling and the dissenting opinions. (Original air-date June 29) Lisa Frisch looked at future goals for the Legal Project as it celebrates its 20th Anniversary. Frisch is the not-for-profit’s executive director. (July 9). Mark Dann, the NY Campaign Director with Compassion and Choices, and Amanda Avery, a “right to die” proponent who lost her partner, Chrissy, to cancer earlier this year, look at a bill that would legalize medical aid in dying in New York State.
