Matt Hamilton, a Capitol reporter with the Albany Times Union, discussed the Hoosick Falls hearing and other news of the week. We heard Jeff Gural’s reaction to his Tioga Downs racino receiving a full casino license from the state. Gural is chairman of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, a full-service real estate firm. Many of the state’s major cities are welcoming greater numbers of refugees as wars and crises escalate around the world. Those kids are then making their way into public school classrooms where they do not know the language or the customs.
